Pour Over Coffee Preparation
The pour-over method of brewing coffee originated in Japan and is popular throughout most of Asia. The pour over method had a resurgence in the US this decade and has become popular in cafes and coffee shops all over North America. In 2014 Coffee Blenders CEO, Masateru Higashida, introduced this single serve pour-over method to the U.S and it has gained traction ever since.

- Tear open brew pouch along dotted line
- Place pouch on your cup
- Pour 1-2oz of hot water (we recommend around 200 degrees Fahrenheit)
- Allow coffee to "bloom" for 20 seconds
- Add 4-6oz of additional Hot Water (based on your strength preferences)
For the best tasting results we recommend using water that is between 195 and 205 degrees Fahrenheit. If you don't have a thermometer or a smart kettle, you can boil the water and wait about 30 seconds before pouring over the ground in the pouch.
Our coffee has a great bold taste as is, but a little sweetener would enhance the flavor depending if you prefer your coffee to be on the sweeter side.
